My daughter bore her testimony in Sacrament yesterday for the first time that I remember. She was nervous, filled with the spirit, beautiful and truly eloquent. Her testimony was all of those things also. She talked about completing the Book of Mormon for the first time (she is so ahead of where I was as a teenager) and taking to heart the challenge and promise given by Moroni to pray and find for herself if the book is true. She said that her heart was filled with warmth and the spirit testified to her the truthfulness of the book that she had just read. What a beautiful and sweet testimony. I was so touched and inspired by her desire to gain a testimony for herself.
“And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. ” (Moroni 10:4)
Brenda,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment on my blog. It's so nice to hear from experienced moms and to give me the 'light at the end of the tunnel' vision. And you probably don't remember, but I have met you because I was in the RS presidency when Ashton had Emma, so I came over and visited when you were in town. Thanks again!! :)
